A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to invalid addresses under the very same domain. For instance, a message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get emails from friends or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be redirected to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Web Hosting

Configuring a catch-all e-mailbox will be very easy in case you’ve got a cloud web hosting with us. You can enable this feature through our powerful, albeit easy-to-work-with Email Manager tool, which is an integral part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will administer your shared web hosting account. You will find all the mailboxes that you’ve created shown alphabetically and on the right-hand side of each of them there will be a small-size "Catch-all" icon, which will instantly notify you whether a certain mailbox stores all the emails associated with a certain domain name or not. With a single click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this option whenever you want. In case there is enabled email forwarding or if some other mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a given domain name, you’ll receive a warning from our system. The latter won’t disable/replace anything automatically or without your approval.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all address can be set up with several clicks in case you have a semi-dedicated server with us. The semi-dedicated account will be administered through our custom-developed Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll be able to set up email addresses with any domain hosted there. To activate the catch-all functionality for a specific mailbox, you’ll have to click the sign with the same name, which will be to the right of each mailbox. Disabling the feature can be done in the very same fashion and will not take more than one click either. If the catch-all option has already been activated for a specific domain, you’ll receive a warning alert. The same is valid if the mailbox that you’d like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never disable or alter anything automatically.
